E4800 Series Recirculating Heater/Chillers Site Requirements
Electricity
Ensure that a suitable mains electricity supply (110 Vac or 240 Vac, frequency 50/60 Hz) is available. Check that the voltage label attached on the rear of the cabinet is suitable for the local voltage and frequency.
Site Selection
Take care when positioning the unit. Always leave open access to the front and rear of the chiller to allow adequate ventilation to the system. Ensure that the back meshes are not blocked with dust. The internal electrical fan is used to draw air through the vent grills. The warm air is expelled from the unit, which will raise the temperature of a small room. Try to site the unit so as to exhaust this air from the room, or provide adequate ventilation in the room.
Pumps
It is highly recommended that units fitted with high-pressure
pumps should be fitted with a 50-micron water filter attached to the
inlet connection of the unit.
If the system is fitted with a high-pressure pump, the connecting pipework
and fittings must be able to take up to 5 bar (75 psi).
Flow Switches
For units ordered with optional Water Failure Alarms.
The flow switches can be wired into the customers primary equipment
so that, in the absence of fluid flow, the customers unit will also cut
out until flow is resumed. A push button momentary switch is provided
on the right hand side of the front panel to
by-pass the flow switch in order to initially start the system. The flow switch
must be fitted on manufacture. The flow switch contacts require a 10 amp supply
in the customers primary unit.
